I believe research can be very enjoyable collaborative work across different cultural backgrounds, different expertise areas, and different generations. For example, my mentees come from diverse cultural backgrounds: from Bangladesh, Germany, India, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Sweden, Switzerland, and the US.
